❓ 3D pen questions parents ask
What age is this 3D pen for?
We recommend it for kids aged 6 and up, with an adult helping for the first few sessions. Its low-temperature nozzle makes it a better first 3D pen for children than standard pens that run at 180–230 °C.
Does it need to stay plugged in?
No. The built-in battery gives up to about 60 minutes of drawing per charge.
Can it use regular 3D pen filament?
No, PCL only. PLA and ABS need much higher temperatures and will block the nozzle.
What if the nozzle gets blocked?
Let the pen warm up, then clear the tip with the included cleaning needle.
Where do I get more filament?
Any 1.75 mm PCL works. We also sell PCL refills in 10, 20 and 30 colors.
